Hannah-Mei is a data privacy solicitor at a US law firm in London, where she completed her training contract. She comes from a non-law background, having studied languages and business at undergraduate level, before converting to law via the GDL/LPC route.

Hannah-Mei founded Let’s Chat Law CIC in 2020 with Gabrielle Coates (a barrister), which is a non-profit aiming to help aspiring lawyers including those from non-traditional backgrounds to enter the legal industry. Let’s Chat Law hosts events and runs a podcast and website, which provide honest answers to (not so) silly questions about law, a legal career as well as commercial awareness.

Naomi is a future trainee solicitor at A&O Shearman and has completed vacation schemes at US firm Cooley, and international firm Osborne Clarke. Naomi uses TikTok (@naomiyik) to educate aspiring solicitors on her journey to securing a training contract, including how to build commercial awareness and set yourself up for successful applications.

She also provides advice for students to achieve top grades in law school, having secured first class grades in several modules whilst balancing part-time work and committee positions.

Jake Schogger is a qualified lawyer, best-selling author, career coach, entrepreneur, copywriter and consultant. He is the founder and CEO of City Career Series, a publishing company that has sold ~50,000 handbooks designed to help students secure City careers, including the best-selling Training Contract Handbook and critically acclaimed Commercial Law Handbook.

He also founded the Commercial Law Academy, a comprehensive e-learning platform for aspiring commercial lawyers, complete with hundreds of videos, articles, interactive quizzes, flow charts and downloadable e-guides.

He trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and now acts as a legal adviser to start-ups and scale-ups, whilst also working as a career coach and delivering career-related presentations at universities across the UK.
