Sherif Saad

Sherif Saad is an associate in the Global Disputes practice at Jones Day. Sherif practices commercial dispute resolution involving complex litigation, international arbitration, and internal investigations, often entailing a multijurisdictional dimension. He has experience acting for multinational corporations, states, and high net worth individuals.

Sherif spent a year working in Jones Day's Dubai Office, where he gained experience acting for private companies and state-owned entities, including representing a construction joint venture in a multimillion-dollar dispute with its consortium member in relation to a power plant project in the Middle East. He also worked on several other high-value arbitrations under the ICC and DIFC-LCIA Rules of Arbitration.

Sherif has acted as an associate manager for the Firm's Fintech Working Group.

Prior to joining the Firm, Sherif worked on global due diligence projects for a number of FTSE 100 companies, focusing on legal and tax compliance in over 100 countries.

Sherif studied his undergraduate law degree (2017) and LPC (2018) at The University of Sheffield before completing his training contract at Jones Day.

Jake Schogger

Jake Schogger is a qualified lawyer, best-selling author, career coach, entrepreneur, copywriter and consultant. He is the founder and CEO of City Career Series, a publishing company that has sold ~50,000 handbooks designed to help students secure City careers, including the best-selling Training Contract Handbook and critically acclaimed Commercial Law Handbook.

He also founded the Commercial Law Academy, a comprehensive e-learning platform for aspiring commercial lawyers, complete with hundreds of videos, articles, interactive quizzes, flow charts and downloadable e-guides.

He trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and now acts as a legal adviser to start-ups and scale-ups, whilst also working as a career coach and delivering career-related presentations at universities across the UK.
